1943 Standard Light Utility
Denis Matthewman bought this from Brian Fox in early 2007. Brian had rescued the remains from a field near Leconfield, Beverley and rebuilt it with great ingenuity.  Very few Standard Tillys have survived and this one supports the original Census No which was discovered below the tailgate. Completed in 2005 it has proved very reliable and is powered by a Standard 12HP 4 Cylinder side valve engine of 1609cc. Unlike the other Tillys made by Austin , Hillman and Morris this was not based on a pre war car.  It was a real pleasure being entertained whilst talking to Dennis in his private beer tent at the back of the Tilly!
